Meditation Group
The group meets after the Thursday 10 am Eucharist to share an hour of meditation, with scripture readings, other readings and silence.
What happens?
We use various methods of meditation. Frequently several members of the group bring:- a piece of scripture, or
- other reading or meditation guidance which is appropriate for the day, or
- thoughts from their own meditation time.
At other times, one person might, by prearrangement, lead the whole hour’s meditation. We begin in silence, recollecting God’s presence. Between the readings there is further silence. Sometimes at the end some members like to comment on an insight or experience. There is no obligation to bring or make any contribution other than by sharing the silence. We find this hour together very helpful and supportive.
Visitors and new members are always welcome.
