Read the application documents.

Update : December 2011

We received a letter from the Historic Places Trust to say that the Saint Peter’s Anglican Church complex (includes church, cottage and vicarage) is now registered as a Category 2 Historic Place.

Update : October 2011

Saint Peter’s received advice that the Otago/Southland branch of the Historic Places Trust had finished preparing the application for registration of Saint Peter’s Church site as a Category 2 historic place. This includes the church building, vicarage and cottage. The application for registration has been endorsed by Saint Peter’s Vestry and it will now be referred to the Registration Board of the Historic Places Trust for final approval.

Update : July 2011

On July 29th, Heather Bauchop, of the Trust’s Otago/Southland District Office, visited Saint Peter’s to gather information and photographs to help with processing our application. Heather was highly complementary about the standard of our initial application material, which was researched and prepared by our Vestry Secretary, Dr Heather Brooks. The high standard is largely responsible for the speed with which the trust has been able to begin work on our application.

We are likely to be advised of the result of our application in about 6 months.
