Ordination Service
A new Deacon and a new Priest were ordained in a Choral Eucharist attended by many priests, friends and family.

Installation Service
The Bishop installed the Reverend Natalie Milliken as Vicar of Saint Peter’s Caversham at a Service on 6 May. A large congregation contributed to the moving and musical occasion.

Fesival of Brass and Carols, 22 December 2019
An evolution of the traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols, this Christmas Festival features the ensemble of the St Kilda Brass – an A Grade brass band which is based locally.

Solemn Sung Eucharist, 24 September 2017
Our new Bishop was installed on 22 September. On the 23rd he led his first Diocesan Synod (which was held at Saint Peter’s) and on the 24th he was preacher and celebrant at our 10.30am Service.

Solemn Sung Eucharist, 7 May 2017
We were joined for our regular 10.30am Service by members of Holy Cross Parish. The Service included the rededication of the Woodhouse Memorial Window, reinstalled at Saint Peter’s after being removed from Holy Cross when that church was deconsecrated because of unacceptable earthquake risk.

On Sunday, 27 September Saint Peter’s celebrated 150 years of worship in Caversham. The Right Reverend Victoria Matthews, Bishop of Christchurch, was Guest Preacher and celebrant.

Liturgy of St Basil
Often on special ocassions we use a Liturgy of St Basil. One such ocassion was the Eve of Corpus Christi in 2014, when the Vicar explained the development and significance of the rite as the service proceeded. You can see it here.

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols
Usually held on the Fourth Sunday in Advent, the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at Saint Peter’s is closely modelled on the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols at King’s College Cambridge, made famous by BBC broadcasts since 1928.
